ORLANDO, Fla.—Anyone who wants to keep their driving skills sharp during

the off-season can turn to Automatic Racing’s fall and winter testing program,

which will provide driving opportunities at race tracks throughout the southeast.

Utilizing Automatic Racing BMW M3s, the testing program is specifically

designed to give drivers maximum track time coupled with setup and

driving assistance. The Automatic crew will be on hand to assist with car

setup, and driver coaching will be available to anyone who wants to hone

their competitive skills.

Automatic Racing’s test program is ideal for club racers who want to glean

experience and make a smooth transition to professional racing in

Grand-Am’s KONI Sportscar Challenge or Rolex Series. In addition,

veteran drivers can take advantage of the opportunity to stay tuned up in the

off-season.

Testing options range from club racing to private track day events, and dates

are scheduled at four KONI Challenge tracks, including Daytona

International Raceway, Virginia International Raceway, Homestead-Miami

Speedway and Barber Motorsports Park. Road Atlanta and Sebring

International Raceway are also on the schedule.

Drivers who want a truly customized experience can contact Automatic’s

David Russell to plan a test or club race weekend at any track.

The first date available is a test weekend at Sebring from October 10-11.

The busy off-season culminates at Sebring from January 13-17, 2010: drivers

have the opportunity to race an Automatic Racing KONI Challenge M3 at

the PBOC Winterfest. Additional test dates are available through April of 2010.

Other highlights of Automatic’s testing program include a 24-hour race at

Homestead and three days of racing and driving at Daytona in October.
